The Goodnow House is the home of one of Manhattan’s founders, Isaac Goodnow, that still remains furnished with the families belongings dating back to the 1800s. Check their hours of operation.
Kansas State University became the first land-grant college in 1861. The campus is filled with new and old architecture, beautiful scenery, and aspects of various cultures throughout the grounds. Downtown on Poyntz Avenue, you will find the beautifully structured Riley County Courthouse, built in 1906. The courthouse is placed in the heart of downtown Manhattan, right next to the historic Wareham Hotel, where Harry’s is currently located.
